Beyond our ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase 'each other'
doesn't make sense any more.

Thank you so much to Diet Pulpit for this wonderful blog award for sharing beauty, love and joy. I’m honoured that Lady Rose thinks that I’ve added a bit of these virtues to the blogosphere.

There are so many great blogs out there, that choosing only five to pass this along to is not easy. Here are my five picks for blogs that I always enjoy reading and feel contribute a lot of love, creativity and joy to the blogosphere:

Living Within Samsara is both visually beautiful and full of posts that touch my heart.

Mags at Woo-Woo Wisdom writes wonderfully inspiring posts an science, psychics and where the twain shall meet.

I'm filled with good vibes every time I visit Kelly at her blog She Power. This is one lady who exudes positivity.

Lexi at Energies of Creation spreads a lot of love, beauty and joy in the world of blogs with her art and articles as well as hosting the Carnival of Creative Growth.

Caroline at Life's Little Wonders adds much to the world through her gorgeous paintings filled with love and joy.

It would be nice if you would pass this on to your choice of five blogs you feel contribute beauty, love and joy to the blogosphere.

I haven't shown my crafts online recently, but I intend to do this regularly every week again. I've chosen Fridays, dedicated to the Goddess of Beauty Venus, for this.

I hope you enjoy the pics.

Most of these one-off pieces are not going to be sold in my online store, but at my craft stall on the beach. If you're interested in buying any of these necklaces, please contact me directly at louisej@gmx.ch. These are retailing for Euros 30 or US$ 47, including postage.

What Pattern is Your Brain?

Your Brain's Pattern

Your mind is a creative hotbed of artistic talent.

You're always making pictures in your mind, especially when you're bored.

You are easily inspired to think colorful, interesting thoughts.

And although it may be hard to express these thoughts, it won't always be.

Creative visualisation is all about using your imagination in a creative manner to manifest your goals. The more lighthearted you are when using creative visualization (detachment), the more successful the outcome. A playful attitude is really helpful when manifesting your reality and taking control over your life.

And what better way to take control than by playing Sims 2? Sims 2 is a life simulation game where you have total control over the life stages, needs, personality, relationships, career and even death to some extent of the characters you create. What’s more, you can build some pretty cool houses.

My suggestion is that you create yourself and the people you want in your life (and of course those that are already in your life) and live your dream life in simulation. As you play the game, you will feel the the excitement of being in love, the satisfaction of living in your dream house and buying all the goodies you want.

In the past, I’ve actually manifested an apartment and a marriage with this technique. Of course, I should have known the marriage wouldn’t last; we were constantly at loggerheads in the game…

In my current game I’ve built and am living, with my kids, in a beautiful white wooden house on the beach. My house is not too large, but it has ample space for creative and meditative activities. I wake up in the morning, have a coffee from the espresso machine whilst sitting on my wooden verandah admiring the view before going for a swim in the ocean. I take a shower, eat breakfast and go into my creativity room to write my novel. After a light lunch, I create lovely works of art. The kids and I usually just barbeque our dinner on the beach and we have lot’s of beach parties. I’ve just created my dream man and am about to experience falling in love with him.

This is the life!

Monday is ruled by the moon. And the moon rules dreams and emotions. I intend to post a quotation that speaks to my heart on the first day of every week. This is the first of the series.

If you would create something, you must be something.

I had been neglecting this blog because I was in the process of building up my other blog on living in the Seychelles. As is often the case with me, when I don't pay attention to something I lose interest. This blog is my first love though and I didn't want to just let it languish and die off. To revive my flagging interest I needed to do something new, so I decided I needed to implement a new design to get motivated again.

And it worked. My motivation is high again and I'm flooded with new ideas for articles.

Unfortunately, after spending a week looking for a new template and fiddling around with it, when I finally published it, I couldn't reinstall Haloscan. In other words, all the wonderful comments my readers had left (and they were often even more inspiring than the actual article!) got lost.

This is typical of every time I "rebirth" an aspect of my life. A sacrifice is required and then new things start flowing in. I often wish it didn't have to be like this, but it always seem to work that way for me.

I just have to believe the sacrifice was worth it...

I badly needed a break from all this fiddling with the layout today. I quite surprised myself with the "if money were no object, what would you do?" question. I answered without thinking and picked fiction author. It was actually what I wanted to be when I was a child.

Maybe I need to rethink here and get on with that novel...

Your Mind is Purple

Of all the mind types, yours is the most idealistic.

You tend to think wild, amazing thoughts. Your dreams and fantasies are intense.

Your thoughts are creative, inventive, and without boundaries.

You tend to spend a lot of time thinking of fictional people and places - or a very different life for yourself.

Please excuse the mess

I am trying to upload a new template which worked fine on the trial site. Hopefully, I'll get this functioning by this evening.
